I'm not sure if you're aware of the Coral VIP scheme but it piqued my interest when there was a documentary on gambling on the BBC sometime in 2015.  Now I know most bookmakers are not kind to punters and tend to treat us all with a certain amount of disdain, which is why I was quite surprised to see the Coral reps taking out some of their VIP clients for free hospitality days.  I assumed that getting to that level would be a real challenge and I made a mental note to look into it further.

However seeing as I've been a very busy boy over the past 12 months it totally s lipped my mind but a chance conversation with a fellow professional last week got me thinking about it all over again.  The chap I was talking to said that he was going all out to get to Coral VIP status so that he could see what goodies he'd get offered.

Well seeing as I'm now doing as much matched betting as I am trading (possibly more), it seemed like the perfect opportunity time to explore this further.

Coral have 4 VIP levels, Bronze, Silver, Gold & Platinum.  It's worth noting that the Platinum level is invitation only and to be perfectly honest is probably reserved for the whales of the gambling world.  I certainly don't have a Premier league footballer or Dubai royalty sized bank account!  I've set myself the achievable task of obtaining Silver VIP membership.

To get that I need to earn 2,500 points and deposit £2,000 in the calendar month.  Points are earned as follows:

  • 2 points for every £10 stake on Slots, Scratchcards and Bingo
  • 1 point for every £10 stake for all other casino games
  • 2.5 points for every £10 stake for sports single bets
  • 3 points for every £10 stake for sports multiple bets

My intention is to take the majority of it down by placing sports bets, which means if I just place single bets, I will need to place £10,000 of bets in June. Yikes.

To get to Bronze level it equates to 41.67 points per day and to make my target of silver it's 83.33 points per day (£333.33 per day).

Day 1 is under my belt and after depositing £400, my points total stands at 116.76 after placing £437 of single bets and 1 £25 accumulator.

Coral's official page however says 117 points, so they've rounded it up, which is nice.

I used the Each Way & Accumulator matched betting strategies over in Clear Bonus Profits to actually make a profit of £7.50 in the process of placing those bets and my total time spent was 15 minutes.

Good luck with all your betting and trading today!
