Back to Normal
Well I finished my silly self-imposed £500 bankroll challenge yesterday and I turned the £500 into £1235.75 in just under 3 weeks, which was totally satisfying, but I have to go back to a normal bankroll as I’ve been missing out on far too much money over the past few weeks.
My neighbour also managed to turn his £500 into just over £700, which is obviously a fantastic return on his investment given that he’s just starting out on Betfair. He’s registered a blog and I’m just running him through the basics but he’ll be starting to write about his own journey as i explained how much starting this blog helped me to regain some discipline which is so important when you’re trading sports markets on Betfair.
I’m really excited by the developments over at the Football Trading System website by Ian Erskine and at Betfair Trading Expert by Matt Abraham. Both of them appear to be getting into the reviewing of other people’s products and it’ll be interesting to see if they find any good ones in the field of crap out there. Matt Abraham at the moment has made a members area on the blog, which I’ve just signed up for, basically there appears to be a free section of the blog where you can get a free ebook, just by registering on his site and then if you’ve actually bought Betfair Trading Expert, you get the next level of membership which is BTE Picks, which enables you to see the picks on his website in case you can’t get into your email for any reason. A neat feature and seeing as this is thrown in as part of the one-off package price of $69, it’s a steal.
All in all, the two of them are providing good quality content and although Ian’s had a little wobble with picks (as Matt did the other week!), both appear to be doing the goods. Matt’s picks appear to back on top form.
So normal bankroll has resumed, let’s hope the rest of the year continues as well as it started
What stakes did you use to manage to double your bankroll from £500 to £1235.75 in 3 weeks? or do you use a percentage of your bankroll and recalculate it every trade?
Around 5% of my betting bank, I generally recalculate it but it’s not an exact science on my part
